2015 Andrea Seewald and Matias Haber belong to the six people who were awarded with the “World Down Syndrome Day Award” in the category „outstanding volunteer and professinal work“ from the Down Syndrome International (DSI).

Public recognition:
In Uruguay the activities of the association „Tinkers“ have been recognized as public interest by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Honours:
Andrea Seewald and Matias Haber (President and Vicepresident of the association „Tinkers“ and also founders and organizers of „Tango en Punta“) have been awarded from the Ministry of Social Developement for their work in the field of inclusion in Uruguay.

A VALUED PROJECT IN SOUTHAMERICAN AND EUROPE

Institutions like the „Lebenshilfe Vorarlberg“, „Caritas Vorarlberg“, the „IFS“ (network for parents self-help in Vorarlberg/Austria), the Down Syndrome Association in Vorarlberg, Salzburg and the “Asociación Down” of Uruguay, have benefited from the work of the association „Tinkers“. Thanks to the support of private and public institutions in both continents, they are able to realize their work.
The projects from the association „Tinkers“ have been recognized public interest by the Ministry for Cultural and Touristic Affairs and have been awarded from the Ministry for Social Developement in Uruguay. In Austria the projects are supported by the Federal
chancellery of Austria/ Cultural Initiatives Departement and by the Cultural Departement of the city of Bregenz and from Land Vorarlberg.
